Billboard Music Awards: Imagine Dragons Perform "Believer"
The awards show is airing live from Las Vegas on ABC.
Imagine Dragons took the stage Sunday night at the Billboard Music Awards to perform "Believer."
The rock group, consisting of of lead vocalist Dan Reynolds, lead guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist Ben McKee and drummer Daniel Platzman, said their performance was a tribute to Chris Cornell, who died May 17. Imagine Dragons said the rocker was an influence on them.
Sermon kicked off the performance with a drum intro. Reynolds danced around the stage in a long black shirt and a thick gold necklace. Confetti fell from the ceiling to end the performance.
The single follows "Thunder" off the group's upcoming album, Evolve; both songs are currently on the Billboard Hot 100. The album will be released June 15.
Imagine Dragons has been nominated 15 times for a Billboard award, winning five awards.
