Billy Crudup Joins Frank Langella in 'Youth In Oregon' (Exclusive)
'Avatar' and 'Forever' actor Joel David Moore is directing the indie black comedy.
Billy Crudup will star opposite Frank Langella in Youth in Oregon, a dark comedy from actor-turned-director Joel David Moore.
Stefan Nowicki, Morgan White and Joey Carey of Sundial Pictures, the banner behind indie darlings Obvious Child and Jiro Dream of Sushi, are producing.
The script by Andrew Eisen tells of a husband (Crudup) on a cross-country trip to Oregon with his cantankerous father-in-law (Langella), a man who has given up on life. He must convince his father-in-law not to commit euthanasia when they arrive to the state.
This is the third feature for Moore, who is known for his appearances in Avatar and Dodgeball and his current co-starring work on ABC’s Forever. The movie will start principal photography mid June in New York.
Crudup is coming off a turn in the psychological thriller The Stanford Prison Experiment in which he starred with Ezra Miller, Tye Sheridan and Olivia Thirlby.
He is repped by CAA and Brillstein Entertainment.
