Billy Parks Moves From Fullscreen to Otter Media for Content Strategy Role

In the newly created role, Parks will work with Otter Media portfolio companies to develop content across formats.

Fullscreen executive Billy Parks is moving to the digital company's parent company, Otter Media, for a new content strategy role. 

Parks, who has served as senior vp of Fullscreen's strategic content group since 2015, has been appointed to the newly created role of executive vp creative and content strategy for Otter Media, the joint venture of The Chernin Group and AT&T. At Otter, Parks will work with portfolio companies — which include anime streaming service CrunchyRoll and Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine — to grow their audiences and develop content across platforms and formats. He will report to Otter president Sarah Harden.

"I am very excited to build on five years of close collaboration with some of the most talented and forward-thinking leaders in the media business," Parks said Tuesday in a statement. "I am consistently inspired by their approach to growing and nurturing businesses that are responding to the developing needs of audiences."

At Fullscreen, Parks oversaw AT&T collaboration Hello Lab, which worked with online creators to produce projects such as live experiences, albums and merchandise. He will continue to run that program at Otter.

Parks has previously worked at Judy McGrath's Astronauts Wanted digital production company and as a digital executive at The Chernin Group. 

"Billy has been a longtime, valued co-collaborator through Fullscreen and The Chernin Group, where he consistently realized new potential and accelerated the evolution of digital content," said Harden. "We look forward to taking our relationship with him to the next level as we use content across all formats to grow the influence and reach of Otter's direct to consumer brands."
