Black List Writer Tapped to Adapt Harlan Coben's 'Missing You' (Exclusive)
Stephany Folsom has been tapped to write Missing You, the adaptation of a Harlan Coben novel being developed by Warner Bros.
The book, published by Dutton in March, tells of a female police detective who starts dating online. She begins communicating with a man who jilted her 18 years earlier and it leads to the uncovering of an intricate scheme involving a brilliant sociopathic criminal.
Brett Ratner is producing via his RatPac Entertainment banner. RatPac’s James Packer and John Cheng are exec producing.
Chantal Nong is overseeing for Warners.
Folsom is an up-and-coming scribe who garnered attention with her script 1969: A Space Odyssey or How Kubrick Learned to Stop Worrying and Land on the Moon. The script, which told of a female PR exec enlisting filmmaker Stanley Kubrick to fake the moon landing, landed on the 2013 Black List.
She is repped by Verve and Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment.
