Blackberry Outage: What the Industry is Saying
Service problems started Monday with users in the Middle East, Europe and Africa experiencing coverage lapses, and Wednesday, the smartphone provider went out in much of North America.
"Dear Blackberry" became a Twitter trending topic Wednesday, as the smartphone company's three-day service outage spread to North America.
And, many in the entertainment industry took to their Twitter accounts (on personal computers or Apple products like the ipad, gasp!) to comment.

"I love you #Blackberry - but if you continue to stop me BBM communicating with my sons, we're so, like, over," CNN host Piers Morgan tweeted.
Jimmy Kimmel Live director of technology Chris Darbo wrote, "So much to say about #blackberry right now, but instead I'll let twitter.com/#!/search/blac... do the talking."
MSNBC host Dylan Ratigan said, "Best wishes to all my friends who are dealing with Blackberry outages today. Bright side: a day without email! Downside: no BBM."
Jersey Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi said, " Blackberry outage? Let's get real here blackberry ugh."
Gossip blogger Perez Hilton tweeted, "Dear Blackberry ... you're trending! And we are THROUGH! You're still not working for me and Momma Perez is on her way to buy me the iPhone!" He followed up with a joke, saying "What did one BlackBerry user say to the other BlackBerry user???? Nothing!"
So sorry I've not twittered but i can't do anything on my blackberry at the moment! Pissed off! Thank you for all your messages!" lamented former Spice Girl Emma Bunton.
The Hollywood Reporter TV Reviewer David Knowles even got in on the mix, tweeting, "Dear Blackberry, It's days like this that make me so happy I switched to the iPhone."
But, Late Show with David Letterman head writer and executive producer Eric Stangel seemed to be having the opposite problem, saying "I'M GETTING EVERY SINGLE #BLACKBERRY USER IN THE COUNTRY'S EMAIL- WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
