Kelly Blatz has been cast in the title role of "Aaron Stone," a live-action pilot that has been ordered for Jetix, the action-adventure programming block that airs on Toon Disney.

Blatz will star as Charlie Tanner, an ordinary 16-year-old whose life is altered completely when a rich recluse wants him to take his video game alter ego -- Aaron Stone -- on for real because he believes that Charlie has what it takes to save the world.

The project is being produced by Shaftesbury Prods. Bruce Kalish ("Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive") is executive producing. The script was written by Kalish, with contribution from Nelson Soler ("Lincoln Heights"). Eric Canuel ("The Dead Zone") is directing.

Jetix targets kids 6-11. It airs seven days a week on Toon Disney in the U.S. but also can be seen around the globe.

Blatz next appears in Screen Gems' remake of "Prom Night" and the indie feature "From Within."

He is repped by APA, managers Lena Roklin and Matt Luber and attorney Alan Hergott.
