Makeup Guru Bobbi Brown Celebrates Her Company's 20th Anniversary in Paris
U.S. ambassador to France Charles Rivkin and his wife host a cocktail reception for the cosmetics creator featuring Bruce Weber photos.
Makeup icon Bobbi Brown celebrated the 20th anniversary of her cosmetics company on Tuesday night in Paris with the U.S. Ambassador to France Charles Rivkin and a colorful palette of Gallic celebrities.
Ines de la Fressange, Virginie ledoyen, Julie Depardieu, Marina Fois, Marie Josee Croze and Mickey Green all came out to support the beauty guru’s long career.
Brown and her guests were all made up with someplace to go, namely the Parisian home of Rivkin and his wife Susan M. Tolson for a cocktail reception featuring an exclusive collection of photos by Bruce Weber.
"We’re here to celebrate 20 years of changing the face of makeup … of being the face of makeup,” Ambassador Rivkin said. He told Brown: "You're a role model and you’re an ambassador of American values around the world.”
Brown was also in town to celebrate the launch of her new left bank boutique in Paris' chic 7th arrondissement that opened in September.
"Paris is one of my favorite cities in the world. Women here have such incredible style,” she said, adding: “I can't believe that French people actually buy my perfume!”
Brown’s festive “The Party Collection” features not only a signature “Bobbi’s Party” perfume, but also metallic eye shadows, high shimmer lip gloss, onyx and silver eye paint, party rose lip color and even a silver and gold shimmer in the shape of a martini glass and shaker.
The chic Franco-American crowd at the Ambassador’s residence sipped champagne and nibbled on risotto balls, mini tomato tartelettes and foie gras.
Brown has long been popular among both celebs and politicians with French first lady Carla Bruni, Michelle Obama and Kate Middelton all fans of the makeup.
Brown will next head to London and then back to NY to continue her 20th anniversary celebration.
