Whitney Houston may be poised for a comeback with the upcoming Sony Pictures remake of Sparkle, but could her daughter Bobbi Kristina have a future on show business, as well?
STORY: Whitney Houston in Talks to Star in Music-Themed Drama 'Sparkle' (Exclusive)
The 17-year-old daughter of Houston and Bobby Brown took to Twitter, showcasing her pipes in a cover of Adele’s “Someone Like You.” The home video caught the eye of several media sites, including Jezebel, who noted that while the teen could still benefit from classic vocal training, she certainly appears to have inherited a high level of talent from her famous family.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news on Monday that Houston is currently in negotiations to star in her first feature film since 1996’s The Preacher’s Wife. Sparkle, a remake of the 1976 music-themed drama, will also star Mike Epps and American Idol alum Jordin Sparks.

The original Sparkle was inspired by the story of the Supremes, and centered on the three Williams sisters, who begin singing in their church choir in Harlem in the late 1950s and become a successful girl group. Their sudden rise unravels their personal lives.
Sparks will play the title character, the talented member of the group while Houston will play her not-so encouraging mother. Epps will be Satin, a stand-up comedian who marries one of the sisters and gets her hooked on drugs.
