'Born This Way' Singer Lady Gaga: Everybody Wants to See My 'Decay'

More excepts have leaked from Lady Gaga’s 60 Minutes interview, airing Sunday. Entertainment Tonight reports that at one point the “Born This Way” singer tells Anderson Cooper that the public wants to see her “decay.” Referring to her buzzed-about MTV Video Music Awards performance in which she staged her own bloody make-believe death, she says, "That's what everyone wants to know, right? What is she going to look like when she dies, when she's overdosed on whatever they think I'm overdosing on? Everybody wants to see the decay of the superstar. "Of course they do," she goes on. "They want to see me fail. They want to see me fall on stage. They want to see me vomiting out of a night club. Isn't that the age we live in? That we want to see people who have it all lose it all? It's dramatic.” But the singer insists, "I'm not like that on my own time. I'm not a vomit-in-the-club kind of girl." Gaga says, “One of my greatest artworks is the art of fame. I am a master of the art of fame.”
