Bossert upped to senior vp at Tristar
EmptyPremiere party veteran Alison Bossert has been promoted to senior vp of special events for Sony's Columbia Tristar Motion Picture Group, reporting to executive vp of publicity Andre Caraco.
Bossert joined the studio in 1996 as an assistant for special events and quickly moved up the ranks to most recently vice president of special events.
"Alison is integral to our marketing team -- she brings new-school edge and creativity to old-school motion picture showmanship," said Columbia's domestic marketing president Valerie Van Galder.
Bossert's responsibilities include designing and managing more than 30 movie premieres, award show parties and corporate events and retreats in Los Angeles each year. In 2007 she oversaw nine worldwide premieres for "Spider-Man 3," including Tokyo, Moscow and New York.
Bossert's team of Mary Powell and Dori Golod have also been promoted. Powell has been upped to executive director of special events and Golod is now manager of the department.
