Warner Bros.' topical R-rated comedy The Campaign opened No. 2 on Friday, grossing a better-than-expected $10.3 million. Starring Will Farrell and Zack Galifianakis as rival congressional candidates, the raunchy pic should gross between $28 million and $30 million for the weekend.

Campaign, directed by Jay Roach, received a B- CinemaScore.

The Dark Knight Rises fell to No. 3 on Friday with $5.6 million after dominating the box office for three consecutive weekends.

Sony's new adult dramedy Hope Springs, starring Meryl Streep, Tommy Lee Jones and Steve Carell, came in No. 4, grossing $4.7 million. The David Frankel-directed film opened Wednesday and is anticipating a five-day debut in the $18 million to $20 million range.
