"The Fault in Our Stars" and "22 Jump Street" both cross the $200 million mark worldwide, while "Maleficent" opens huge in Japan, unseating fellow Disney title "Frozen."

Paramount's Transformers: Age of Extinction remained the big headline at the global box office over the weekend, particularly in China, where it will eclipse James Cameron's Avatar this week to become the No. 1 grossing film of all time.

Worldwide, Age of Extinction has earned $575.6 million in its first 12 days in release, including $400.9 million overseas. The international number is especially impressive considering it won't launch in Latin America or most European countries until after the World Cup soccer championships.

DOMESTIC BOX OFFICE 'Transformers 4' Tops Long Holiday With $53.8M; 'Tammy' No. 2 With $32.9M

In China, Age of Extinction grossed $50.9 million in its second weekend for a cume of  $212.8 million, becoming the No. 2 film of all time, not accounting for inflation. Avatar earned $221.9 million in China.

Elsewhere, Fox 2000's $12 million YA film adaptation The Fault in Our Stars and Channing Tatum-Jonah Hill comedy 22 Jump Street both crossed the $200 million mark at the global box office. 22 Jump Street, from Sony and MGM, has now earned more than 21 Jump Street ($201.6 million) both domestically and overseas. Among other Hollywood titles, Maleficent opened in its final market, Japan, grossing a stellar $7.1 million and finally unseating mega-hit Frozen after a 16-week rule.
