Bravo Appoints David O’Connell to SVP, Christian McLaughlin to VP
The network expands its production department by elevating its longtime producer of the Real Housewives franchise and bring in a VH1 exec.
Bravo announced two new appointments Thursday: David O’Connell as senior vice president, production and operations and Christian McLaughlin as vice president, production.
“David has been an outstanding member of our production team for the last six years,” Bravo media president Frances Berwick said in a statement. “His leadership and industry expertise has been integral to Bravo’s success as the network continues to strengthen its pop culture brand and produce the next evolution of watercooler hits.”
O'Connell joined Bravo as a supervising producer in 2004, working on shows like The Real Housewives franchise, Emmy-Award winning Top Chef, Millionaire Matchmaker, Project Runway and Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.
McLaughlin will oversee production on Work of Art: The Next Great Artist, Rocco’s Dinner Party, and Roblé & Co. At VH1 for seven years, McLaughlin served as executive producer on several series, including Celebrity Fit Club: Bootcamp and Love & Hip Hop.
“Christian brings an extensive wealth of experience in both production and development,” said Shari Levine, senior vice president of production. “I’m confident that his creativity and background will be major assets as Bravo continues to generate creative content that continue to resonate with our audience.”
O'Connell will report to Berwick from Burbank, Calif., and McLaughlin will report to Levine in New York.
