Bravo, Comedy Central, Oxygen, CBS Sports Add VPs
David Brewer, Tony Carbone, Jonas Larson and Dan Weinberg have new duties at the respective cable networks.
CBS Sports, Bravo, Comedy Central and Oxygen have shuffled their executive ranks.
Bravo has upped David Brewer to the newly created position of vp program strategy and acquisitions, where he'll supervise the cabler's program planning department and lead sales and marketing initiatives.
Based in New York, he'll report to Jerry Leo, who was upped last week to exec vp program strategy and production.
Brewer was director of strategic program planning, where he managed digital strategies and oversaw scheduling, among other duties. He helped plan the launch of The Real Housewives franchise as well as Top Chef Masters, Bethenny Getting Married and Tabatha's Salon Takeover, among others.
At Oxygen, Tony Carbone has been tapped vp digital, where he will be tasked with overseeing the strategic planning of the network's digital initiatives. He'll report to Jennifer Kavanagh, senior vp digital, and be based in New York.
Over at Comedy Central, the network has upped Jonas Larson from vp specials to senior vp talent and specials, where he will be responsible for talent development and oversee original specials and productions, including the Comedy Central Roast franchise. He reports to Kent Alterman, head of original programming and productions.
CBS Sports, meanwhile, has tapped Dan Weinberg senior vp programming for CBS Sports Network. Reporting to David Berson, exec vp CBS Sports and president of CBS Sports Network.
The former Major League Baseball vp licensing will lead the 24-hour college sports cable network's programming department, working closely with CBS Sports, Showtime Sports and CBSSports.com.
