'Bridesmaids' Co-Star Ramps Up Movie Roles (Exclusive)

Rebel Wilson will replace Casey Wilson in the indie comedy "Bachelorette" and is the first cast in the romantic comedy "Pitch Perfect."
Rebel Wilson is seeing her career go into overdrive since appearing in Bridesmaids.
The actress, who played Kristen Wiig's roommate in the hit comedy, just got the plum role to replace Casey Wilson in the all-star indie comedy Bachelorette, being produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's Gary Sanchez Prods. shingle.

Isla Fisher, Kirsten Dunst, Lizzy Caplan and Adam Scott are cast in the movie, which follows three best friends (Fisher, Caplan and Dunst) who are invited to act as bridesmaids at the wedding of a girl they called Pigface in high school.
Casey Wilson was to act as the bride but fell out due to a scheduling conflict with ABC's Happy Endings, in which she stars and shoots in L.A., while Bachelorette just began filming in New York. Rebel Wilson is now stepping in her shoes. Lesley Headland wrote the script and is directing.

She'll play a character called Fat Amy who is a member of the female a cappella group Divisi and goes head to head against a counterpart from the male group known as the Treblemakers.
The modestly-budgeted pic is to being shooting this fall in New Orleans.
Finally, Wilson has also booked a voice gig for Ice Age: Continental Drift. Steve Martino & Mike Thumeier are directing the animated feature from Fox and Blue Sky Studios, whose all-star voice cast ranges from Ray Romano, Queen Latifah and Denis Leary to Jeremy Renner, Aziz Ansari and Seann William Scott. Her role is being kept under wraps.
Wilson, repped by WME and Andy Corren Management, is a comedienne from Australia who moved to L.A., quickly booking a couple of TV gigs before landing Bridesmaids. She will be seen in This Means War, staring Reese Witherspoon and Chris Pine, and recently joined the all-star cast of Lionsgate's What to Expect When You're Expecting.
