Just hours after The Chainsmokers unveiled their latest collaboration, the hitmaking DJs and Coldplay made their live debut with “Something Just Like This” at the 2017 Brit Awards on Wednesday.

As a silhouette of Coldplay's Chris Martin projected on a giant curtain (with The Chainsmoker's Drew Taggart on the guitar), the collective started the performance off much calmer than it ended. Once the curtain dropped, a colorful light display filled the stage, and Martin proceeded to run around the stage — even jumping into the crowd at one point — to make for one lively rendition.

Similar to the surprise drop of the track, the performance was kept hush-hush until it happened. Martin had previously taken the stage to give a heartfelt tribute to the late George Michael.
