Brit Morgan joins 'True Blood'

Actress lands the part of Debbie Pelt on vampire drama

The last major new role on the upcoming third season of HBO's "True Blood" has been filled.

After an long search, Brit Morgan of ABC Family's "The Middleman" has landed the part of Debbie Pelt on Alan Ball's vampire drama. Debbie is Alcide's (Joe Mangiello) ex-girlfriend who doesn't like Sookie (Anna Paquin) much.

Except for Denis O'Hare, Ball went with largely little-known actors for the new cast additions to "True Blood" this season.

Morgan, repped by Innovative and David Dean Management, joins fellow new cast members Manganiello, Theo Alexander, Grant Bowler, Lindsay Pulsipher and Cooper Huckabee, as well as J. Smith-Cameron and veteran Alfre Woodard.
