Jason Trawick proposed to the 30-year-old singer on his 40th birthday on Thursday.
After Britney Spears' boyfriend and former agent Jason Trawick proposed on his 40th birthday, the pop singer went ahead and broke the news publicly -- including changing the Facebook status on her official page.
Now "Engaged," the Louisiana native said in a coy message on Friday, "OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!!"
Spears and Trawick headed off to Las Vegas on Friday to celebrate their engagement and it was there Spears debuted the Neil Lane diamond ring, People reports. Trips to Sugar Factory's Chocolate Lounge and Paris' Chateau Nightclub topped off the evening.
Following the celebration, Spears wrote on her Facebook page early Saturday: "Tonight was one of the most magical nights of my life. Such an amazing time with my new fiancé and our closest friends and family."
The couple made it official in May 2010. Trawick, an agent at William Morris Endeavor, represented Spears until they decided to end their professional relationship to focus on their personal one.
Spears was married to Kevin Federline and had two children with him, Preston and Jayden, before divorcing him in 2007. She also had a brief marriage to friend Jason Alexander in early 2004 that was annulled 55 hours later.
