Broad Green Pictures has hired Gail Heaney as executive vp media.
In her new post, she will be responsible for creating marketing and media strategies across all platforms for the upstart distributor's theatrical, VOD and home entertainment releases.
“Gail brings such incredible experience and energy to the company," said Broad Green CEO Gabriel Hammond and chief creative officer Daniel Hammond. “She has successfully executed campaigns at the highest budget levels as well as for challenging specialty films, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her on our team.”
Added Heaney: "I am so excited to be working with a company whose culture supports risk-taking and shares the same tremendous passion for each of its films regardless of budget or box-office aspirations.”
Heaney was an executive vp media at Summit Entertainment, where she worked on such films as The Twilight Saga, Divergent and Kathryn Bigelow's Oscar-winning best picture The Hurt Locker.

Heaney also worked at ad agencies JWT and DDB Needham.
Heaney will work on Broad Green's upcoming slate, which includes 99 Homes, A Walk in the Woods, Samba, I Smile Back and Learning to Drive as well as Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups and Voyage of Time.
