Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will play a concert at the Apollo Theater in Harlem exclusively for subscribers that will air on SiriusXM’s E Street Radio channel. The March 9 show will be three days after the release of Wrecking Ball, Springsteen’s 17th studio album.
“Bruce’s music, now more than ever, reflects the attitudes and controversies and the personal and national conversations of our time,” says SiriusXM president Scott Greenstein. “This concert offers our subscribers the opportunity to hear Springsteen and the E Street Band perform in one of the most intimate and historic settings in the world.”

The show will serve as a warmup for the band, which kicks off a 51-date tour March 18 in Atlanta. The jaunt, which will take the group through the U.S. and Europe, is set to wrap July 31 in Helsinki. It will be the band’s first tour since the June 18 death of Clarence Clemons, the popular saxman who played with Springsteen for nearly 40 years. There’s no official word from Springsteen’s camp about a replacement for the Big Man.
SiriusXM listeners can score tickets to the Apollo show through various sweepstakes and giveaways. The grand-prize winner will receive four tickets plus airfare to New York and a two-night hotel stay.
