"The director was kind of a neat freak, and he didn't want any shoes to be scuffing up the floor."

No role is too high for Bryan Cranston, right?

The Trumbo star and Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon performed a few mid-air bits on Monday, joking that they co-starred in a short-lived '90s soap opera called Suspended Suspense.

While floating above the ground, they played brothers named Garrison and Jamison Goldenweather who were dealing with the aftermath of their wealthy father's death.

"The director was kind of a neat freak, and he didn’t want any shoes to be scuffing up the floor," Cranston joked. "In retrospect, we really should've been standing."

Suddenly, stage directions like putting down croissants become much more hit-or-miss than when grounded. Also, tasks like light fistfights, hugs, chase scenes and "putting my foot down" become full-body obstacles.
