Bryan Singer Expecting First Child With Best Friend Michelle Clunie
The 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' director and the 'Queer as Folk' actress are expecting via surrogate in 2015
Bryan Singer is going to be a father.
The director of movies including X Men: Days of Future Past and The Usual Suspects is expecting a child via surrogate with actress Michelle Clunie, his best friend of 25 years who co-starred in Queer as Folk. The baby is due in 2015.
"Mother and father are both very excited about the upcoming birth and look forward to co-parenting the child together," Singer's rep said in a statement. "The pair have been planning this baby for years and have been trying for the last two."
In addition to the X-Men franchise, writer-producer-director Singer's credits also include Superman Returns, Apt Pupil and Jack the Giant Slayer. He recently closed a deal to direct X-Men: Apocalypse.
He was recently one of the targets of a lawsuit by Michael Egan, who accused Singer and industry executives Gary Goddard, David Neuman and Garth Ancier of sexual abuse. Those suits were recently dropped.
Clunie also appeared on the TV series Make It or Break It and more recently guest-starred on Bones and NCIS.
