BT Vision to offer UTV films on demand

22 films including 'Kaminey,' 'Race' and 'Fashion' available

NEW DELHI -- BT Vision will offer 22 titles from UTV Motion Pictures via its video on demand services for its recently-launched “Bolly and Beyond” section.


The UTV titles have been acquired from BTV's exclusive Indian content aggregator Shemaroo Entertainment UK Pvt. Ltd.

Last September Shemaroo announced its exclusive five year deal with BTV to create and manage the “Bolly and Beyond” subscription service in association with MoMedia International, a leading digital distributor and manager of VOD services backed by Endemol.

The service targets South Asian communities in the U.K. with a mix of Bollywood movies, music and television shows.

The UTV titles acquired are from the banner's recent three-year slate which include “Race," “Fashion," “Wake Up Sid” and the critically acclaimed “Kaminey."

Subscribers will be offered four to five UTV movies every month on the IPTV platform for BTV's Pay Per View and subscription VOD services.

BT Vision launched in 2006 is an IPTV service provider in the U.K. and operates over 170 countries.
