Burberry Launches a Customizable Scarf Bar

The Brit brand also announces big trench coat news.

Burberry is the latest label to get in on the customizing craze dominating the fashion scene of late. Because monograms are addictive, the British heritage brand has launched its very own Scarf Bar, which offers — what else? — custom cashmere scarves.

Customers can choose from more than 30 colors (including brand-new hues) and prints in lightweight or classic weights, as well as select their favorite shade of thread for their monogram. The scarves are woven in Scotland on traditional looms and finished by craftspeople who learned their methods from previous generations.

Additionally this month, Burberry — whose campaigns have featured top models including Naomi Campbell with Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne with Kate Moss — releases two new colors for its Heritage collection of trench coats. Although the shades, Parade Red and Navy, are not necessarily earth-shattering, the announcement is actually a big deal: It’s the first time in the brand's history that they’ve added new colors to the iconic line, which before featured only Honey, Stone and Black.
