It's business as 'Unusuals'
EmptyStephen Hopkins has signed on to direct ABC's drama presentation "The Unusuals."
Meanwhile, ABC has picked up a single-camera comedy pilot presentation from Victor Fresco.
"Unusuals," from Sony Pictures TV, is a dramedy set at a New York police precinct. Noah Hawley penned the script and is executive producing with Peter Tolan.
Hopkins directed the pilot and several episodes of Fox's "24" as well as the pilot of Showtime's "Californication." He won an Emmy in 2005 for directing HBO's "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers."
The untitled Victor Fresco project, from 20th Century Fox TV, is an office comedy that centers on a moral guy trying to do right in an amoral world. ICM-repped Fresco is the writer-executive producer.
