TORONTO -- Canadian cartoon producer Cookie Jar has sold two series, "Magi-Nation" and "World of Quest," to Jetix Europe. The sale Monday came as Canadian producers at MIPTV unveiled a slew of deals for the global kids TV market.
Toronto-based Cookie Jar said its two newest cartoons will air this year on Jetix channels across Europe.
Meanwhile, rival Canadian producer Decode will join Britain's RDF Media to co-produce 100 20-minute episodes of the preschool series "Way to Blue" for CBeebies.
In addition, Ottawa-based cartoon producer Amberwood has pacted with Belgium's Studio100 to produce 26 half-hours of "Super Mega Hyper Pets," an animated series about an 8-year-old boy and his three pets.
Also in Cannes, Toronto producer Tricon said that ITV has acquired all British rights to "Sanctuary," a sci-fi series from the creators of "Stargate: SG-1."
