The app offers all the videos from BuzzFeed Motion Pictures in one place.

BuzzFeed is continuing its push into short-form video with the launch of a free video app.

BuzzFeed Video aggregates all of the original videos being produced out of Los Angeles entertainment arm BuzzFeed Motion Pictures. This includes series such as Quinta Brunson's comedy sketches in Broke and MythBusters-esque The Try Guys

BuzzFeed Motion Pictures has made more than 7,000 videos over the last three years, distributing them across social networks and the BuzzFeed website. Today, half of BuzzFeed's 5 billion monthly views come from video.

The video app joins a growing suite of apps from the online publisher, including photo-based Cute or Not and BuzzFeed News. Although multiplatform distribution will remain a key component of the BFMP strategy, launching an app allows the company to control the viewing environment. People who download the app will be able to turn on features such as notifications and video personalization. It also will feature continuous playback and exclusive content.

BuzzFeed Video is available on iOS and Android.
