CAA Sports Acquires Events Firm Inside Sports & Entertainment Group
CAA Sports has acquired Inside Sports & Entertainment Group, a full-service corporate-hospitality, event-management and marketing firm, as a wholly owned subsidiary.
"Becoming part of the CAA Sports family is a dream partnership for us, especially being able to work alongside two of the best executives in the sports business, Michael Levine and Howard Nuchow, and their accomplished team," ISEG president Alan Baum said in a statement. "Having worked with CAA Sports over the years, we are excited to have access to the amazing resources this partnership will enable us to offer our customers and look forward to what we know will be a new era for Inside Sports & Entertainment Group."
ISEG was founded in 2004 by Baum and Ety Rybak, who currently lead the company alongside partners Jim Zissler and Jason Zinna as well as ticket industry veteran Richard Ebers. The firm manages more than 250 events a year, and its corporate clients include Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, Verizon, Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, American Express, Ericsson and Cushman & Wakefield.
"We have enjoyed a longstanding relationship with the team at Inside Sports & Entertainment Group, and have always been impressed by their stellar reputation, commitment to customer service, and level of innovation," CAA Sports co-head Levine said in a statement. "This expertise will be complementary to our existing sales and marketing efforts, providing a suite of additional service opportunities for our clients in such areas as corporate hospitality, event management and production, and beyond."
The acquisition further bolsters CAA Sports' robust corporate consulting division, which since its formation in October 2011 now advises and manages more than $1.2 billion in sponsorship rights deals on behalf of clients such as JPMorgan Chase, the Emirates airline, Time Warner Cable, Farmers Insurance, Mitsubishi Electric, Zurich insurance, CDW and The Bose Corporation. CAA Sports' property sales team has negotiated more than $1 billion in sponsorship deals in the past 15 months alone for clients such as the San Francisco 49ers, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the NCAA, Madison Square Garden, FC Barcelona, Chelsea FC, the USTA and the Seattle Sounders.
