Caitlyn Jenner Launches Blog Series About Trans Struggles: "Am I Doing It Right?"
"This is the first in a series of editorials where I will discuss the serious issues and lessons that I am learning through this process."
Caitlyn Jenner launched a new online editorial series called "The Real Me" on Monday.
In her first editorial, written for WhoSay, Jenner revealed she will be discussing issues and people in the LGBT community.
"I feel such a responsibility to this courageous group to try to get it right and tell all sides of the story," writes Jenner. "To me, that's always the biggest question: am I doing it right?"
Jenner talked about meeting with different trans women to hear their stories so that she could understand more about the transgender community. "It’s been an eye-opening experience for me—mainly realizing how fortunate I am," says Jenner.
"You wouldn’t believe the types of ordeals these people have had, how they have had to literally fight for their own survival," says Jenner, revealing that she will be sharing stories from different transgender people during her series.
WhoSay announced today the outlet is partnering with People magazine to launch a "Celebs Unfiltered" section on People.com. People featured Jenner's first blog post on its site. Jenner linked to her website, which provides resources for people in the LGBT community.
