Cameron Mathison, Lindsay Hartley Join Online 'All My Children' Cast
The duo will reprise their current roles from the long-running TV soap, which ends next week.
Cameron Mathison and Lindsay Hartley will be making the transition from television to online, as the pair will reprise their All My Children roles, producer Prospect Park said Monday.
The duo are the first to make the jump from the TV show, which ends Sept. 26, to the online production. A start date for shooting has not yet been announced for the new incarnation of the soap opera, which started its run on ABC on Jan. 5, 1970.
Although Mathison and Hartley are the first signings for the new production, other members from the cast have already moved on. AMC stalwart Susan Lucci was rumored to be joining the cast of Desperate Housewives, but Housewives' executive producer Bob Daily said it was not happening. Lucci was vocal in her criticism of ABC daytime chief Brian Frons over the decision to end the show. Lucci turned down an offer to continue on the show's online version.
Prospect Park is also creating an online version of soap One Life to Live when it ends in Jan. 2012.
