Camille Sullivan Joins ABC's 'Rookie Blue'
TORONTO -- Having built a career in Canadian crime dramas, Camille Sullivan has joined the cast of “Rookie Blue” for ABC/Global Television as production on a second season gets underway.
The popular Canadian cop drama from Thump Inc. and Entertainment One has also lined up Lauren Holly (NCIS) to guest star.
Sullivan is to play detective Jo Rosati in the sophomore season of Rookie Blue, comprising 13 episodes to be shot in and around Toronto through to early 2011.
The Vancouver-based actor earlier played the ex-wife of a crime boss in the CBC drama Intelligence from Chris Haddock, and performed as a vice cop in another CBC cop series, DaVinci’s Inquest.
Sullivan and Holly will appear alongside a returning cast that includes Missy Peregrym, Gregory Smith, Charlotte Sullivan, Enuka Okuma and Travis Milne.
Camille Sullivan's most recent role is playing detective Amy Lynch in Shattered, another cop drama from Entertainment One on Global Television.
Sullivan moving to Rookie Blue, which was renewed for a sophomore season by ABC and Global Television in Canada after only three weeks on air, is not a good omen for Shattered, which has hovered around 400,000 viewers since
debuting in early September.
Rookie Blue, by contrast, averaged 1.8 million total viewers during its first season, making it a popular primetime hit in Canadian primetime and on ABC stateside.
Rookie Blue is executive produced by Tassie Cameron, Ilana Frank, Noreen Halpern, John Morayniss and David Wellington.
