Canada's Nelvana, 'Bob the Builder' Creator Pact on 'Camp Yeti'

Nelvana has inked a development deal with Abominable Snowman, Keith Chapman's latest production shingle

Canadian cartoon factory Nelvana has boarded Camp Yeti, the animated preschool series from Bob the Builder creator Keith Chapman.

Nelvana has inked a development deal with Abominable Snowman, Chapman's latest production shingle, to co-produce 26 half-hours of the animated CGI series about Pigtail Poppy and her furry yeti friends at summer camp. Chapman returned to the kids space last year with the Nickelodeon series Paw Patrol.

“Keith [Chapman] has a strong history of creating compelling series that kids love, such as the iconic Bob the Builder, and we know that Camp Yeti will be a world that kids won’t be able to resist," Irene Weibel, vp, head of Nelvana Studio, said in a statement Monday.

The British and Canadian partners expect to deliver Camp Yeti in fall 2016.
