Cannes 2012: Buena Vista International Takes U.K. and Irish Rights to 'A Few Best Men'
The comedy, directed by Stephen Elliot, will open in Britain in late August.
Buena Vista International has acquired U.K. and Irish rights to Stephen Elliot’s comedy A Few Best Men from film sales company Arclight Films. The film, which has successfully opened in Australia, will be released in Britain and Ireland at the end of August.
Written by Dean Craig, the movie stars Xavier Samuel as a young, British groom who heads to Australia’s Blue Mountains with his three best men. Within hours of landing in Australia things go totally wrong. The cast also includes Olivia Newton-John, Rebel Wilson, Kris Marshall, Kevin Bishop and Laura Brent. It was produced by Share Stallings.
“We’re thrilled at the film’s international success and the box office numbers A Few Best Men is bringing in,” Gary Hamilton, managing director of Arclight Films, said. “We’re looking forward to equally successful openings in Europe and South America soon.”
