Starring Trine Dyrholm, Paprika Steen and Pierce Brosnan, the film is billed as a tale about a group of people all seeking love, about passion and happiness, about jealousy and loneliness.
The project is written by Anders Thomas Jensen.
It has a tapestry of backers and is produced by Sisse Graum Jørgensen and Vibeke Windeløv for Zentropa Entertainments 29 in co-production with Lumiere & Co., Slot Machine, Zentropa International France, Film i Väst, Zentropa International Berlin, Zentropa International Sweden, Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), Swedish Television, Arte France Cinéma, Network Movie, ZDF, Arte, Longride and with support from The Danish Filminstitute, The Swedish Film Institute, Eurimages, Nordisk Film & TV-Fond, Canal Plus, Ciné +, RAI Cinema and the MEDIA Program of the European Union.
TrustNordisk also sealed deals on the title during this year's Marche du Film for Turkey (Euromedia LLC.), India (Picture Works), Mexico (Cine Video) and Middle East (Falcon Films).
The U.K. deal was negotiated by Arrow Films acquisitions chief Tom Stewart and TrustNordisk head of sales Susan Wendt.
"Arrow Films are thrilled to have Susanne Bier’s next film, feeling assured from the wonderful screenplay that the film has true breakout potential and of course it’s wonderful to strengthen our already excellent relationship with everyone at TrustNordisk," said Stewart.
Sony Pictures Classics sealed a deal for U.S. rights to the project earlier in the French market.
