Benedict Cumberbatch, Hugh Dancy, Stellan Skarsgard and John Malkovich board new projects, David Michod's "The Rover" draws strong reviews, TWC circles "The Coup" and Relativity inks $100 million joint venture in India.

It may have been Saturday, but the work doesn't stop for the weekend at Cannes.

Power agents continued scrambling to land the next big thing -- and this year it's foreign directors, not movie stars, they have in their sights. Meanwhile, Benedict Cumberbatch signed on for the war drama The Yellow Birds and Cate Blanchett revealed details of Cinderella: "I'm playing the wicked stepmother, not the ugly stepmother."

THR was on the scene for it all, critiquing the films, interviewing the stars, feting the fashion, and breaking down the non-stop stream of deals.

The Cannes Film Festival runs May 14-25. Check back daily for THR's comprehensive coverage.
