Cannes: Double Dutch Takes International Rights to 'The Scarehouse'
The Canadian sales agent will start shopping the Sarah Booth and Kimberly Sue-Murray horror thriller on the Croisette.
TORONTO -- Canadian distributor Double Dutch has acquired the international rights to The Scarehouse, which stars Sarah Booth and Kimberly Sue-Murray.
The horror thriller, from writer-director Gavin Michael Booth, will be shopped by Double Dutch in Cannes.
The Scarehouse follows two former sorority girls who entice six classmates into a Halloween funhouse for a terrifying brand of sisterhood.
The ensemble cast includes Reign's Katherine Barrell, Emily Alatalo and Teagan Vincze.
The film is produced by A Named Viking Entertainment and D Films, which is releasing The Scarehouse in Canada.
Universal is handling U.S. digital sales.
The deal for The Scarehouse was hammered out by Jason Moring for Double Dutch, and Jim Sherry and Gavin Michael Booth for the filmmakers.
