Cannes: 'Easy Money' Remake to Kick Off Tre Vanner's English Slate
The Swedish production company, recently acquired by Svensk, will remake its hit “Easy Money” crime trilogy after the rights reverted back to them from Warner Bros.
Swedish production group Tre Vanner is moving into English-language production, starting with a planned remake of their hit crime trilogy Easy Money.
The Easy Money remake had been with Warner Bros. but now the rights have reverted back to Tre Vanner, which is developing the project on their own with screenwriters Josh Campbell and Matt Stuecken.
The first Easy Money film was a hit in Sweden and launched the international careers of director Daniel Espinosa (Safe House) and star Joel Kinnaman (Robocop).
In addition to its Easy Money franchise Tre Vanner, which was recently acquired by Swedish major Svensk, is also planning an English-langauge thriller -- The White Island -- from Swedish director Jens Jonsson (The King of Ping Pong), set on the European party island of Ibiza.
