John Turturro, Edie Falco, Jay Duplass and newcomer Abby Quinn round out the 1995-set comedy ensemble pic.

Jenny Slate can’t get enough of her Obvious Child team.

The actress is reuniting with writers Gillian Robespierre and Elisabeth Holm for the comedy Landline, which Robespierre will direct. And for this film, Slate will be joined by John Turturro, Edie Falco, Jay Duplass and newcomer Abby Quinn.

Set in 1995 Manhattan, Landline follows three women in one family having lots of sex, drugs and Japanese food. Navigating monogamy, honesty and a long-lost New York, the Jacobs family lives in the last days when people still didn’t have cellphones and still did smoke inside. Teenager Ali (Quinn) discovers her dad (Turturro) is having an affair. Older sister Dana (Slate) uncovers her own wild side. And their mother Pat (Falco) grapples with the truth that she can’t have it all, but her family still has each other.

Sierra/Affinity is handling foreign sales. UTA, which reps Robespierre and Holm, is repping the film for domestic rights.

Holm is producing Landline with Gigi Pritzker via her OddLot Entertainment banner (The Way Way Back) and Russell Levine for Route One Entertainment (A Walk in the Woods). OddLot’s Rachel Shane is executive producing, with the company’s Stacy Keppler serving as co-producer.

OddLot originated and developed Landline in-house and, along with Route One, will finance the project. Production is scheduled to begin May 23.

Landline marks the trio’s follow-up collaboration to 2014's romantic comedy Obvious Child, a Sundance breakout that was acquired by A24. Slate, Robespierre and Holm also teamed on an FX pilot that shot in 2015 (Robespierre directed).

Slate voiced the character of Bellwether in Disney’s animated hit Zootopia. She next will be seen in Marc Webb’s Gifted opposite Chris Evans and Octavia Spencer, Aardvark with Jon Hamm and Zachary Quinto and Brain on Fire opposite Chloe Grace Moretz. On the TV front, the actress has appeared on Bob’s Burgers, Girls, Parks and Recreation and House of Lies.

Slate is repped by WME and 3 Arts.

Turturro’s recent credits include Mia MadreThe Fading Gigolo and the upcoming HBO limited series Night Of

Falco next will be seen in Leavey opposite Kate Mara and the comedy The Comedian.

Duplass stars on the Amazon TV series Transparent and is a regular on The Mindy Project.
