Cannes: Supermodels Stun at amfAR Gala, THR's Film Critic Shares His Top Picks From the Festival
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Alessandra Ambrosio were just a few of the notable supermodels who attended amfAR's 23rd Cinema Against AIDS gala at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc.
The industry's top models took to the red carpet amfAR's 23rd Cinema Against AIDS event at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, including Karlie Kloss, Adriana Lima, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Alessandra Ambrosio, Liya Kebede, Irina Shayk, Bella Hadid and Jourdan Dunn.
Todd McCarthy, THR's chief film critic, called Cannes "disappointing," but picked two out of the 15 films in competition as being "worth the trip" — Romanian writer-director Cristian Mungiu's Graduation and German director Maren Ade's Toni Erdmann.
THR's Jen Liles also took to the Croisette to ask locals about what they thought of American stars in Cannes such as Julia Roberts, George Clooney and Kristen Stewart, but everyone seemed to love Leonardo DiCaprio and Scarlett Johansson best of all.
