Carly Rae Jepsen, fun. and Rita Ora Join MTV European Music Awards Playlist
The trio sign up to sing at the upcoming awards show in Frankfurt, Germany in November.
LONDON – Carly Rae Jepsen, fun. and Rita Ora are the latest acts to sign up for a turn at this year's MTV European Music Awards in Frankfurt, Germany.
The trio will make their EMA debut when taking to the stage at the music channel's shindig.
The acts share being identified earlier this year as MTV PUSH acts where the music channel picks emerging talent to watch.
Jepsen has already posted a number one hit with "Call Me Maybe" in 47 countries and has sold 10 million singles worldwide.
Her debut album Kiss debuted at No. 1 in Japan and in the top five in 15 territories.
fun.’s hit song “We Are Young” was in the top 10 in airplay in nearly 30 territories and sold more than 8.5 million copies worldwide.
And Ora’s debut album Ora hit the top spot in the U.K. charts and she is the only artist this year to have three consecutive number ones in the U.K.
The trio join previously announced performers Taylor Swift, Muse and No Doubt on the MTV EFA bill.
Hosted by Heidi Klum, the 19th annual awards show will broadcast live from Frankfurt’s historic Festhalle on Nov. 11.
Jepsen, fun. and Ora have each been nominated for best PUSH and best new awards, while Jepsen and fun. are also up for best song.
