The comedian will write and promote online content for the cleaning company.

What do you call crumbs that get stuck in a computer keyboard?

Answer: Board d’Oeuvres.

That’s just one of the entries Carol Leifer is penning for the Clorox Ick-tionary, a humorous glossary of the irksome spills and stains that people know all too well. In addition to this pun-filled manual, Leifer will keep an online blog for the household cleaning company and appeared on The View Tuesday to kick off her participation in the campaign.

“It’s been a hoot creating these terms for messes that everybody encounters,” Leifer said in a statement.

The comedian won a Writers Guild award last year as part of the Modern Family staff and previously has been nominated for four writing Emmys for her work on the Academy Awards, The Larry Sanders Show and Seinfeld. She also starred in three comedy specials for HBO, Showtime and Comedy Central.

In January, Leifer signed with Quirk Publishing to publish a show-business guide called How to Succeed in Business Without Really Crying. Her first book, 2009’s When You Lie About Your Age, The Terrorists Win: Reflections on Looking in the Mirror, was a New York Times bestseller.

Leifer is repped by APA and Del Shaw.
