The Diary of a Teenage Girl breakout stars as the title character, playing a 19-year-old book-smart woman who attempts to find love in New York by using a checklist.
The film also stars Nathan Lane as Carrie's therapist, Dr. Petrov, and Gabriel Byrne as Carrie's father. Jason Ritter, Vanessa Bayer, William Moseley and Colin O’Donoghue round out the cast.
Susan Johnson is directing the indie. Kara Holden wrote the script, with Dean Craig working on later drafts. Suzanne McNeill Farwell, Susan Cartsonis and Brent Emery are producing.
Radiant Films International is selling the YA adaptation of Caren Lissner's 2003 coming-of-age novel at the Berlin Film Festival.
