Hamm plays the police sergeant leading the investigation whose own son disappeared eight years earlier. He is repped by ICM and Forward Entertainment. … J.D. Pardo is lighting up for "The Burning Plain," written and directed by Guillermo Arriaga. The two-tiered story follows a mother (Kim Basinger) and daughter (Charlize Theron) who try to form a bond after the young woman's difficult childhood. Pardo will play an 18-year-old who is having a relationship with the 17-year-old version of Theron. Shooting is under way in New Mexico. Pardo appeared in TV's "Drive" and "Hidden Palms." He is repped by TalentWorks, Management 360 and attorney John Meigs. … Latin American heartthrob Manolo Cardona is making his American debut in Disney's "South of the Border," directed by Raja Gosnell. Cardona is playing Piper Perabo's love interest, a gardener who helps a ritzy Beverly Hills Chihuahua (voiced by Drew Barrymore) find her way home after being lost on vacation in Mexico. Cardona shot to fame in 2005's "La Mujer De Mi Hermano." He is repped by Allman/Rea Management and attorney Nina Shaw.
