Sept. 20 airing features British royal's recent Canadian tour

TORONTO -- Britain's Queen Elizabeth is to jump out in front of Canadian TV viewers next month as the subject of a 3D documentary.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. (CBC) shot 3D footage of Queen Elizabeth's recent Canadian tour and will air the documentary "Queen Elizabeth in 3D" on Sept. 20.

Canadians will be able to secure up to 2 million 3D glasses being made available by the CBC on a first-come, first serve basis.

During her Canadian visit, Queen Elizabeth donned 3D goggles as she toured the Pinewood Toronto Studios to witness a live-action 3D shoot using stereoscopic camera rigs, followed by a viewing of the scene in 3D.
