CBS Current Programming Head Bridget Wiley Exits
Her departure follows that of entertainment president Glenn Geller.
There's another change at CBS.
Current programming head Bridget Wiley is leaving the network after 12 years.
Wiley's departure comes days after that of entertainment president Glenn Geller, who opted not to return to his position after he suffered a mild heart attack earlier this year. Geller had been on medical leave since.
Wiley was promoted to executive vp current programs at the network and studio when Geller was upped to entertainment president in September 2015. The split is said to be amicable, with the well-liked executive looking to pursue other opportunities following Geller's exit.
Longtime network scheduling head Kelly Kahl is taking the reins as entertainment president, with The CW development veteran Thom Sherman named senior executive vp programming.
Like Geller, Wiley previously worked at 20th Century Fox before she joined CBS. At 20th TV, she served as director of current programming and held positions in the studio's drama department before that.
