The Los Angeles-based production executive will help oversee the Canadian producer's TV slate, including AMC's "Hell on Wheels," now in its third season.

TORONTO – Former CBS Television Studios exec David Shafer has joined Canadian producer Entertainment One as vp of production at its TV arm, eOne Television.

Shafer, who was vp of production at the Hollywood studio, will help oversee the indie producer’s slate of scripted TV series, including AMC’s Hell on Wheels, now in its third season.

Los Angeles-based Shafer will report to Armand Leo, vp of production affairs in Toronto.

While at CBS Television Studios, Shafer oversaw pilot and series production, including for Elementary, 90210, The Good Wife, Number3ers, The Game, Criminal Minds and Rules of Engagement.

eOne Television’s other credits include Rogue for DirecTV, and the Discovery Channel mini-series Klondike, co-produced by Discovery and Nomadic Pictures, in association with Scott Free.
