CBS Greenlights Melissa McCarthy, Ben Falcone Comedy

Falcone is set to star as a single 37-year-old who loses everything he has in the real estate collapse and finds himself back home in the house he grew up in … with his parents.
CBS is doubling down on Melissa McCarthy -- and her husband and Bridesmaids co-star Ben Falcone.
The network has ordered to pilot his untitled comedy vehicle, which he will co-write with fellow Groundlings alum Larry Dorf (MadTV). McCarthy, who stars on CBS' Mike & Molly, will serve as an executive producer.

The project, which hails from Warner Bros. Television, centers on a single 37-year-old man, played by Falcone, who loses everything he has in the real estate collapse and finds himself back home in the house he grew up in … with his parents.
Falcone and his Oscar-nominated wife have a second comedy about a woman in her mid-40s who has a midlife crisis in contention at CBS. The pair would be on board to co-write and co-executive produce if it is picked up to pilot.
McCarthy and Falcone are repped by CAA.
