CBS Studios Extends Programming Deal With France's M6
French audiences will continue to see CBS Studios’ series on national network M6, after the two announced an extended partnership agreement.
“M6 is one of our signature programming partners, who has helped us build very successful brands, such as the NCIS franchise, in this key international market,” said CBS Global Distribution president Armando Nunez. “We greatly value the M6 relationship and the mutual success we’ve enjoyed bringing these CBS shows to French audiences.”
The latest agreement continues a programming partnership started in 2003, and has brought the NCIS franchise, Hawaii Five-0, and Elementary to France, and will see Under the Dome and Halle Berry’s Extant on French screens this summer.
CBS series have done well in France, where NCIS has been a hit, and Elementary has averaged about 4.3 million viewers, for a 20 percent share.
Added M6 chair Nicolas de Tavernost: “We have had a long relationship with CBS for more than 10 years, with strong successes on our channels. We are very happy to continue our partnership and feel confident that CBS will provide us with new hit series.”
