CBS ups Interactive CFO Zander Lurie
Named senior vp of strategic developmentNEW YORK -- CBS Corp. is moving CBS Interactive CFO Zander Lurie into the new post of senior vp of strategic development where he will work on further revenue opportunities for the company's content.
Lurie will have strategic planning responsibilities across the company and play a key role in the company's next-generation content initiatives, including authentication and "new, additive methods of distribution and monetization," CBS said in announcing the move Wednesday.
Lurie will report to Joseph Ianniello, executive vp and CFO of CBS Corp.
Lurie has served as executive vp and CFO of CBS Interactive since CBS acquired CNET Networks in June 2008. He will continue in that capacity as the company looks for a successor.
"At its core, CBS is an extremely strong content company, and the future of how we distribute that content is among this company's biggest opportunities," said CBS president and CEO Leslie Moonves.
"Growing the revenues we derive from premium video is an integral part of our current strategy, and it will only grow in importance in the future," said Ianniello. "Zander will be at the nexus of our efforts to seek additive methods of distribution for all content."
