CBS wins rerun-heavy Wednesday night

CBS won a quiet Wednesday night dominated by repeats.

While the two fresh entertainment offerings on the night, CBS' game show "Power of 10" (8.4 million viewers, 2.1 rating/7 share among adults 18-49) and NBC's talent competition "Last Comic Standing" (6.5 million, 2.5/7) led the 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. hours, respectively, among adults 18-49 ("Power" also was tops in total viewers), it was quite telling that the highest-rated program of the night overall was a rerun of CBS' "CSI: NY" (8.9 million, 2.6/8) at 10 p.m.

In the Wednesday ratings race, CBS (8.6 million, 2.3/7) was followed by NBC (6.0 million, 2.0/6), ABC (3.798 million, 1.4/4), Fox (3.752 million, 1.4/4) and CW (1.7 million, 0.8/2), according to early Nielsen data.
